Description

Château Palmer is a Third Growth of the 1855 Classification in Margaux, owned by the Sichel and Mähler-Besse families and led by Thomas Duroux, who converted the estate to biodynamic farming. Historical XIXth Century Wine revives a 19th-century Bordeaux practice of blending Médoc wine with a portion of Syrah from the northern Rhône; because of the blend it is bottled as a Vin de France.

Tasting Notes: Nose: Blackberry, cassis, violet, black pepper and smoky spice. Palate: Medium- to full-bodied, rich and silky, with dark fruit, savory spice and fine tannins. Finish: Long, perfumed and peppery.

Decant and serve with roast lamb, venison or beef with peppercorn sauce.

Vin de France · Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from Margaux with Syrah
