Description

Simi Winery was founded in 1876 by Italian immigrant brothers Giuseppe and Pietro Simi and is one of the oldest continuously operating wineries in Sonoma County, based in Healdsburg. This Pinot Noir is sourced from Sonoma County vineyards, where coastal fog and cool nights help Pinot Noir develop bright acidity and expressive red fruit, and it is aged in oak for added texture.

Tasting Notes: Nose: Black cherry, raspberry and pomegranate with hints of clove, forest floor and vanilla. Palate: Medium bodied and silky, with ripe red and dark berry fruit, a savory earthy note and balanced acidity. Finish: Smooth and lingering, with fine tannins and a touch of spice.

Pair with grilled salmon, duck breast, pork loin or wild mushroom risotto.
