Description

Cantine San Marzano was founded in 1962 by a group of growers in San Marzano di San Giuseppe, in Puglia's Salento peninsula, where vineyards sit between two seas. Timo, Italian for "thyme," is the winery's Vermentino, a nod to the wild Mediterranean herbs that grow among the Salento vines. Fermented in stainless steel, it is a bright, aromatic white built for warm-weather drinking.

Tasting Notes: Nose: lemon, white peach, green apple and wild thyme. Palate: light to medium-bodied and crisp, with citrus, orchard fruit and a saline, herbal edge. Finish: fresh and zesty.

Serve well chilled with grilled fish, shellfish, vegetable dishes or herb-roasted chicken.
