Description

Barton & Guestier traces its roots to 1725, when Irishman Thomas Barton founded a wine trading house in Bordeaux; Daniel Guestier later joined the business, and B&G is today regarded as the oldest wine merchant house in Bordeaux. Its range of appellation wines extends to France's other classic regions, including the Loire Valley. Les Jardins de la Reine is a Rosé d'Anjou, a traditional Loire rosé made in a softly off-dry style, with Grolleau typically at the heart of the blend.

Tasting Notes: Nose: Strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant with candied fruit and floral notes. Palate: Light-bodied and gently sweet, with juicy red berries balanced by fresh acidity. Finish: Soft, fruity and refreshing.

Serve well chilled as an aperitif, or with spicy Asian dishes, melon and prosciutto, or fruit-based desserts.
