Description

Mastroberardino, based in Atripalda in the province of Avellino, is the historic family house of Campania wine, with roots going back to the 1700s and ten generations of winemaking. After World War II the family helped rescue Fiano and other ancient native grapes from near extinction, and their Radici ("roots") line is a tribute to that heritage. Radici Fiano di Avellino comes from hillside vineyards in Irpinia and is one of southern Italy's benchmark white wines, known for its texture and ability to age.

Tasting Notes: Nose: Ripe pear, quince, acacia honey and toasted hazelnut. Palate: Rich yet fresh, with citrus, stone fruit and a smoky mineral note over a round, textured body. Finish: Long and savory, with lingering nutty and saline tones.

Pair with grilled fish, shellfish pasta, roast chicken, or mushroom and truffle dishes.
