Description

The Istituto Agrario di San Michele all'Adige was founded in 1874 in Trentino, northern Italy, as an agricultural school and research center, and today operates as the Fondazione Edmund Mach, named after its first director. Its historic cellars, housed in a former Augustinian monastery, produce wines from the institute's own experimental vineyards. Incrocio Manzoni Bianco is a white grape created in the 1930s by Professor Luigi Manzoni by crossing Riesling with Pinot Bianco, combining aromatic lift with freshness and texture.

Tasting Notes: Nose: Green apple, white peach, citrus blossom and a hint of almond. Palate: Fresh and medium-bodied, with crisp apple, pear and lemon zest over a mineral, Alpine core. Finish: Clean and lingering, with gentle floral and nutty notes.

Serve chilled with freshwater fish, vegetable risotto, speck and Alpine cheeses, or light pasta dishes.
