Description

Château La Sauvageonne is a high-altitude estate in the Terrasses du Larzac area of the Languedoc, part of Gérard Bertrand's family of biodynamically farmed properties. Its vineyards sit on a mix of volcanic, schist and sandstone soils, and the Grand Vin Rosé is a gastronomic, partly barrel-aged blend built around Grenache with other Mediterranean varieties.

Tasting Notes: Nose: white peach, pink grapefruit, redcurrant and a hint of vanilla. Palate: round and textured, with ripe stone fruit, citrus and a fresh, mineral backbone. Finish: long, creamy and saline.

A rosé for the table: serve with grilled fish, bouillabaisse, roast poultry or creamy cheeses.
