Description

Château Durfort-Vivens is a Second Growth of the 1855 Classification in Margaux, owned by the Lurton family and run by Gonzague Lurton, who converted the estate to biodynamic farming. Its vineyards sit on the deep gravel soils of the appellation, and the wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend that showcases Margaux's perfume, freshness and finesse.

Tasting Notes: Nose: blackcurrant, blackberry, violet, graphite and subtle cedar. Palate: medium- to full-bodied and precise, with pure dark fruit, floral lift and a fresh, mineral core supported by fine, chalky tannins. Finish: long and elegant, with lingering cassis and spice.

Decant before serving with roast lamb, filet mignon, duck or aged hard cheeses.

Red Bordeaux · Margaux AOC · 2nd Growth (1855 Classification)
