Lee 40th Anniversary Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 750ml

Forty years after Buffalo Trace first honored its legendary Master Distiller with his namesake single barrel, the Elmer T. Lee 40th Anniversary Edition does something the brand has never done: bottle it straight from the barrel. For the first time in the label's history, this bourbon is presented uncut and unfiltered, with no dilution and no chill filtration, so you taste it the way Elmer did when he picked barrels himself.

Elmer T. Lee changed American whiskey in 1984 when he created Blanton's, the first commercially marketed single barrel bourbon. In 1986 the distillery named a single barrel bourbon after him, and he kept hand-selecting its barrels well into his 90s. This anniversary release is a limited, collector-worthy tribute to his legacy.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich caramel, dark cherry, and vanilla bean, with toasted oak and a hint of orange peel.
Palate: Bold and oily.
